The AMC Concord Sedan seems to not get much love. I think one with a 304 V8 and a manual 4 speed would be an fun car.

If you’re going AMC, get an Eagle 4x4. Twice the complication, twice the running cost!

AMC was always on the verge of death so the cars, no matter how good, suffered greatly.
I’d really like to take an Eagle wagon and slap a Hornet front clip on it.

That’s an ‘80-83 Concord, so no V8 for you. If you want a 304 Concord, you can only choose a 1978-79. And I think the auto was the only transmission available with the 304 those years. A 360 V8 4-speed combo was possible in the 1971-74 Hornet, and the 304 4-speed in the 1970-77 Hornet, as I recall.

Eagles get plenty of love, that is why I would prefer an AMC.

You are right. In 78-79 the V8 only came with a 3 speed auto. A 4 speed with a 360 or 304 V8 was only available by special order. The Concord is still on the Hornet platform, I would need to play AMC Hornet/Concord rusty Legos to put together what I want.
